JOAN BENNETT: Specialty Sewing

Items are accepted for alteration and/or repair anytime Shady Kate's Boutique is open. Joan, our seamstress, will then be contacted and most work can be completed within a day or two.  If measurements or fittings are required, then an appointment will be scheduled to meet personally with Joan.

Boutique Hours: Wednesday thru Saturday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

I have three passions in life:   God, design, and sewing. I have been designing and sewing for over thirty years, and nothing has brought me more personal satisfaction than to be able to succeed at my own business. I believe that the desire to always learn and challenge myself to go beyond my own expectations has been the mainstay of my success. Two years ago, I received a Certificate in Interior Design and am currently learning Auto-Cad Drafting! However, my real love is sewing. I have sewn everything from a pontoon boat cover to pageant dresses for beauty contests! Currently, I am working on a bridal dress and other apparel for an upcoming wedding.
